The 3S Lift SL-R70S Guiderail Fall Arrester is the next generation of 3S Lift's rail-guided fall protection. Lighter and more compact than the SL-R60S while carrying the same load rating and the same guide rail compatibility, it reduces the weight on your harness through every climb and adds a red fall indicator that makes post-fall inspection immediate and unambiguous. Corrosion and abrasion-resistant construction makes it suitable for demanding conditions both on and offshore, and it can be attached or removed at any position on the rail.
Features:
Lighter, More Compact Build: At 2.7 lbs (1.26 kg) and 9.3 in × 5.9 in × 2.4 in, the SL-R70S is roughly 28% lighter and noticeably shorter than the SL-R60S — less fatigue over long ascents, less bulk against the ladder.
Red Fall Indicator: A red indicator on the carabiner becomes visible if the device has been subjected to a fall event, so a compromised unit is identified and removed from service immediately rather than being returned to the rail.
Speed Sensing Wheel: An internal centrifugal wheel detects fall acceleration and drives the locking block into the guide rail, arresting the fall automatically.
Energy Absorber: Deploys in the event of a fall to absorb impact energy and reduce the load transmitted to the operator.
Safe Lock Anti-Reverse Design: A deliberate two-step PUSH button and Safe Lock rotary knob action is required to attach the device, and the mechanism physically prevents upside-down installation two separate ways — the knob will not rotate when inverted, and will not return to its locked position if forced.
Attachment at Any Position: Attaches to and detaches from the 3S guide rail anywhere along its length, at any safe working position.
Trails the Climber: Follows the operator's movement smoothly in both directions with no manual tugging or intervention required.
Annual Inspection Label: An on-device date wheel records the month and year of manufacture plus up to five annual inspections, making service-life status visible in the field without paperwork.
Wide Operating Range: Rated from -40°F to 140°F (-40°C to 60°C) for users from 66 to 310 lbs (30 to 140 kg), on TF-R and TF-R5 guide rail.
